Biography

Ye Zhu is a Monge Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at École polytechnique and a Principal Investigator at LIX. She is also an ELLIS member, and a Hi! PARIS Fellow.

Her research focuses on machine learning and computer vision, with a particular interest in dynamic generative models, including diffusion models, and their applications in multimodal settings such as vision, audio, and text, as well as physics-related problems such as astrophysical inversions. Before joining École polytechnique in 2025, she was a postdoctoral researcher at Princeton University’s VisualAI Lab. She received her PhD in Computer Science from Illinois Tech and holds degrees from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and École polytechnique.
