Radu-Alexandru Dragomir is Assistant Professor in Applied Mathematics at Télécom Paris, within the S2A team. His research focuses on numerical optimization methods and data science, with applications in machine learning, signal processing and large-scale AI models.

He is also a Hi! PARIS Chair holder for the 2023-2026 period.

His Hi! PARIS Chair project focuses on advancing optimization methods at the core of AI. The project aims to better understand how complex optimization problems are solved in AI and data science, in order to design more efficient, reliable and scalable algorithms. His work has applications in areas such as medical imaging, satellite imagery, audio signal processing and the training of large AI models.
