Biography

Pierre-Cyril Aubin is an Associate Professor at ENPC, a researcher at CERMICS, where he is part of the Optimization team, and a Hi! PARIS Fellow.

His research focuses on optimization algorithms in finite and infinite dimensions, their convergence properties, and their links with convexity. He is particularly interested in optimization in the space of probability measures, with connections to optimal transport theory and optimal control. He also develops applications of these methods in operations research, notably in collaboration with Axel Parmentier and Air France. His recent work explores optimization problems based on general cost functions, such as Bregman divergences, as well as alternating minimization and entropic optimal transport.

Before joining ENPC, he was a postdoctoral researcher at TU Wien VADOR and INRIA SIERRA. He obtained his PhD from École des Mines Paris, PSL, in 2021, after graduating from École polytechnique and completing the MVA Master’s program.
