Biography

Florence d’Alché-Buc is a Professor at Télécom Paris, Institut Polytechnique de Paris, where she is a member of the Information Processing and Communication Laboratory and the Signal, Statistics and Learning team. Since 2019, she has held the Data Science and Artificial Intelligence for Digitalized Industry and Services Research and Teaching Chair.

Her research focuses on machine learning, artificial intelligence, network inference, structured prediction, and dynamical systems modeling, with applications in bioinformatics and medical domains. Her work also covers kernel methods, structured output prediction, reliable machine learning, and the modeling of complex dynamical systems.

Florence d’Alché-Buc is also a Hi! PARIS Synergy Fellow for the 2025-2028 period, together with Rémi Flamary, Charlotte Laclau, and Karim Lounici, on the project “Advancing Efficient, Reliable and Science-Informed Learning for Non-Euclidean Data with Application to Molecule and Biological Network Structures.” This fellowship focuses on non-Euclidean data, graphs, optimal transport, and representation learning.

She has authored more than 80 articles in international journals and conference proceedings. She has also played an active role in research leadership and education, notably as scientific director of the Digiscope Labex and as head of the Images, Data, Signal department at Télécom Paris.
