Christophe Pérignon is an Associate Dean for Research and Professor of Finance at HEC Paris. He is also a Scientific Co-Director at Hi! PARIS and a Deputy Director of the ACPR (Banque de France) Chair on Systemic Risk and Banking Regulation.
He holds a Ph.D. in Finance from the Swiss Finance Institute, a postdoctoral qualification from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and an *Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches* (HDR) from Paris Dauphine University. Before joining HEC in 2007, he was an Assistant Professor at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, Canada. His research focuses on financial risk management and the use of data science in finance. His work has been published in the *Journal of Finance*, *Journal of Financial Economics*, *Review of Financial Studies*, *Journal of Business*, *Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis*, and *Review of Finance*, as well as in the general-interest scientific journal *Science*. In 2014, he received the Europlace Prize for the best young researcher in finance. He is a co-founder of RunMyCode.org, a service for archiving scientific data and code, and of cascad.tech, the first agency certifying the reproducibility of scientific research, established in partnership with the CNRS.
