Biography

Charlotte Laclau is an Associate Professor in Machine Learning at Télécom Paris, Institut Polytechnique de Paris. She is a member of the LTCI laboratory and part of the S2A team. Before joining Télécom Paris in 2022, she held the same position at the Hubert Curien Laboratory within the Data Intelligence team.

Her research focuses on machine learning, with a particular interest in representation learning for complex data, fairness in machine learning for relational data, and unsupervised learning for high-dimensional data. Her recent work includes contributions on fair representation learning and graph autoencoders.

Charlotte Laclau is also a member of the Hi! PARIS Scientific Committee. She is a Hi! PARIS Synergy Fellow for the 2025-2028 period, together with Florence D’Alché-Buc, Rémi Flamary, and Karim Lounici, on the project “Advancing Efficient, Reliable and Science-Informed Learning for Non-Euclidean Data with Application to Molecule and Biological Network Structures.” This fellowship focuses on non-Euclidean data, graphs, optimal transport, and representation learning.
