Aref Einizade is an Assistant Professor at Télécom SudParis. He is also a Hi! PARIS Fellow for the 2026-2029 period.
His research lies at the intersection of graph machine learning, graph signal processing, and graph neural networks. He focuses on theoretically grounded methods for multimodal graphs, with applications in biomedical data, especially brain signals, as well as weather and traffic forecasting. Before joining Télécom SudParis in 2026, he was a postdoctoral researcher in the Multimedia team at Télécom Paris. He received his PhD in Electrical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology, where he developed graph-based methods for modeling unknown structures in biomedical signals. His recent work also explores higher-order structures such as simplicial complexes and hypergraphs, as well as generative models.
