His Hi! PARIS fellowship project examines the economic impact of artificial intelligence on labor markets, firms, and broader economic dynamics.
The research is structured around four key dimensions. First, it analyzes how AI reshapes work by focusing on tasks rather than occupations, identifying which activities are most likely to be automated or augmented. Second, it develops a real-time tracker of AI adoption by analyzing job postings and detecting the presence of AI-related skills and tools across industries and regions. Third, it introduces an economic model to assess AI’s effects on productivity, innovation, and market structure, including potential challenges such as concentration and skill mismatches. Finally, the project explores how AI is transforming workplace values and job preferences, examining how firms communicate on culture, diversity, and working conditions, and how workers respond to these changes.
