France–UK Collaboration | Entente CordIAle | Workshop “Core AI & AI for Science”

Artificial intelligence is increasingly becoming a scientific discipline in itself, but also a tool transforming the way research is conducted across fields such as health, climate science, physics, and applied mathematics.
This is one of the ambitions behind the France–UK collaboration launched through the Entente CordIAle initiative: creating stronger connections between AI researchers, scientific communities, and institutions across Europe.
On May 21 and 22, researchers from the University of Oxford, the University of Cambridge, Institut Polytechnique de Paris, HEC Paris, Université Paris-Saclay, Inria, Hi! PARIS Center – AI for Science, Business & Society, and Institut DataIA Paris-Saclay will gather for the workshop “Core AI & AI for Science”, a two-day event dedicated to scientific exchange at the intersection of AI and scientific discovery.
Our researchers Pietro Gori, Sibo CHENG, and Florence Tupin will participate alongside international researchers including Thomas Nichols, Cengiz Oztireli, Bartlomiej Papiez, Pietro Lio’, Sean Holden, Philip Stier, and Antonio Silveti-Falls.
Across the two days, discussions will cover topics such as AI for health and medical imaging, earth sciences, AI methods, and scientific modeling, with poster sessions and informal exchanges designed to encourage interaction between researchers and students.
