Oana Balalau is a researcher (Inria Starting Faculty Position) at Inria in the CEDAR team, a part-time Assistant Professor at École polytechnique, and a Hi! PARIS Fellow.
Her research focuses on natural language processing, graph learning, and computational social science. She works on methods that help analyze, structure, and extract knowledge from large-scale textual and relational data. Before joining Inria, she was a postdoctoral researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Informatics in Gerhard Weikum’s team. She received her PhD from Télécom Paris, under the supervision of Mauro Sozio.
