Hi! PARIS Meet Up! on “AI & Fake News Detection”

As part of the Hi! PARIS Initiatives, a series designed to build thematic working groups around major societal challenges, an upcoming Meet Up on “AI & Fake News Detection” will take place on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at 6 PM, at STATION F (Central Room).
Artificial intelligence is changing the way false information is created, spread, and detected online. But behind that, there are still many open questions. How can we better identify coordinated influence campaigns? How do misleading arguments circulate on social platforms? What really works when it comes to detecting false or manipulative content? And how can research help public and private actors respond more effectively to these new information threats?
The next Hi! PARIS Meet Up will bring together researchers and practitioners for a cross-disciplinary discussion on misinformation, online influence, and the challenges they raise in the digital age.
