SUMMARY:France–UK Collaboration | Entente CordIAle | Workshop “Core AI & AI for Science”
DESCRIPTION:Artificial intelligence is increasingly becoming a scientific discipline in itself\, but also a tool transforming the way research is conducted across fields such as health\, climate science\, physics\, and applied mathematics. \nThis is one of the ambitions behind the France–UK collaboration launched through the Entente CordIAle initiative: creating stronger connections between AI researchers\, scientific communities\, and institutions across Europe. \nOn May 21 and 22\, researchers from the University of Oxford\, the University of Cambridge\, Institut Polytechnique de Paris\, HEC Paris\, Université Paris-Saclay\, Inria\, Hi! PARIS Center – AI for Science\, Business & Society\, and Institut DataIA Paris-Saclay will gather for the workshop “Core AI & AI for Science”\, a two-day event dedicated to scientific exchange at the intersection of AI and scientific discovery. \nOur researchers Pietro Gori\, Sibo CHENG\, and Florence Tupin will participate alongside international researchers including Thomas Nichols\, Cengiz Oztireli\, Bartlomiej Papiez\, Pietro Lio’\, Sean Holden\, Philip Stier\, and Antonio Silveti-Falls. \nAcross the two days\, discussions will cover topics such as AI for health and medical imaging\, earth sciences\, AI methods\, and scientific modeling\, with poster sessions and informal exchanges designed to encourage interaction between researchers and students.

SUMMARY:AISSAI / HACE 2026 - HPC/AI hybridization
DESCRIPTION:The HACE workshop in Toulouse (May 26–28\, 2026) is the technical follow‑up to the opening conference SCOPE on “HPC and AI convergence at the Exascale era” held in Paris in March 2026. It will gather researchers from applied mathematics\, scientific computing\, AI\, and HPC engineering to explore how hybrid AI–HPC workflows can deliver robust\, scalable solvers for complex physical and industrial applications. The format combines keynote talks\, focused application talks\, and hands-on/technical sessions to foster exchanges between communities and to help participants build reusable patterns for hybrid AI–HPC workflows in their own domains. \nAmong the keynote speakers is Alban Farchi (Hi! PARIS Affiliate)\, who will present during the Applications session on Wednesday\, May 27\, from 2:40 PM to 3:20 PM (CEST) and will also take part in the final panel discussion on AI for scientific computing on Thursday\, May 28\, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM (CEST). \nParticipation is free of charge\, but registration is mandatory. Please register Here.

SUMMARY:HEC x IRSEM Seminar Series on Business and the Weaponization of Economic Interdependence
DESCRIPTION:Building with AI: a practitioner’s view of AI sovereignty \nCharles Gorintin is co‑founder and CTO of Alan\, the European digital health insurer and care platform that builds end‑to‑end health services (insurance\, virtual care\, prevention\, and claims) for employers and members. He is also a co‑founding advisor of Mistral AI. He has worked extensively on technology for healthcare and other regulated sectors\, with a practical focus on compliance\, reliability\, and user safety. He’ll talk about how\, two years into the agent revolution\, the AI layer cake is becoming legible from the inside: adoption at the top\, agents\, models\, and open source in the middle\, infrastructure at the bottom. France holds a strong hand on the deepest layer\, and the moment to build is now. \nRegistration a few days in advance is mandatory for security reasons. You can register here.
